Job Hunt Resources
Listed below are a number of job hunt resources that you may be unaware of.
- Codility - Codility is one of the leading coding tests that you’re likely to find and this is their practice tests. If you’re concerned about Codility then you should read a discussion and you should know that people post their notes on Codility tests all the time like Martin and John and FrogJmp. You can also google for codility and the language you like to use to find examples specific to your toolset of choice.
- Companies with Good Hiring Practices - A good list of companies with supposedly solid hiring practices.
- Cover Letter Templates
- Fearless Salary Negotiation. The single best thing I’ve ever read on salary negotiation and answering the salary question (don’t answer). 1000% worth reading. Also podcast version.
- Fizbuz. A tool for building your “Developer Profile” and clarifying your work preferences.
- Levels.fyi - A guide to the different engineering levels at major high tech firms along with salary info.
- Pramp - A peer-to-peer mock coding interview platform where you can practice coding interviews.
If you have something that helped you get a tech job then you should let me know with an email and I’ll add it here. Thanks!
